I buy new rims 7x17 now I want buy tires but what size to choice 205/50 or 215/45, the old size of rims is 6,5/16.

When use calculator the result is:
for 205/50, +5mm difference in diameter
for 215/45, -7mm difference in diameter

Please help,

Choose the cheapest. I mean, one of the tyres is likely to be cheaper than the other. Apart from that, the behaviour of the car will be the same, more or less.

The wider the type, the better grip you will get, of course. But if the 215/45 is much more expensive than the 205/50 tyre, it does not worth.

What you choose?

The price of tyres of 205/50 and 215/45 is the same! We have problems only with bad roads in Bulgaria!

If the roads are bad, pick the 205/50 tyres. It is a bit higher and thus more confortable.
